    DESCRIPTION:

    Pad Thai is Thailand's national dish and is a staple of Thai street food. The combination of tamarind, tamari, garlic, and chillies give it an irresistible sweetness, tartness, and umami.  It is typically made with rice noodles, shrimp or other proteins, peanuts, scrambled egg, and bean sprouts.

    INGREDIENTS:

    Vegetable purée (onions, tamarind, dates, water), golden yellow sugar, tamari (water, soybeans, salt, sugar), garlic, white vinegar, sea salt, canola and/or sunflower oil, spices.

    Instructions (Serves 2):

    1. Cook 100 g of dry noodles according to package directions and drain.

    2. Toss cooked noodles with 1/4 cup (60 mL) Pad Thai base and any garnishes of your choice (eg: scrambled egg, peanuts, green onion, cilantro, bean sprouts, cooked meat or soy etc.) until combined.

    3. Portion and serve.
